Our YouTube Debut

Carson & I were an instant hit with Tuesday's Moby Wrap photo. Nell's Facebook Fans requested a video, so we were happy to ablige. With all of the rave reviews, I may attempt a few more instructional videos, so stay tuned. Check out my youtube debut here...

In family news, Carson is feeling much better & had removed himself from my hip! Halleluia! Still no teeth, so I doubt the clingyness has come to an end, but for now he is playing upstairs with Braden & Ryder. And, tonight is MOPS Mom's Night Out, so I think today is going to be a GOOD day in the Holtvogt Home!

Sick but Snuggly

Little Carson has been feeling bad lately! Between the head cold we all seem to be passing back and forth and teething, he has been a mess.
So, on Sunday our house looked like a freight train had run through. Since Carson cried every time his feet touched the floor, I decided to get out the Moby Wrap & tie him on so I could actually get a few things done. I had forgotten how nice it feels to have the baby (not quite a baby anymore) snuggled up against me! Braden & Ryder decided they needed a 'Mogy' too.
For those of you who never know what to get an expectant mom for a gift, you can't go wrong with a Moby Wrap. Let me say that again...You CAN'T go wrong with a Moby Wrap!!!
Ryder & Xavier Doll are using the Kangaroo Hold. Braden & Big Elephant a modified Lotus Hold - I was not allowed to tuck his legs in. Carson & I are using the Sling or Hip Hold.

The Lunch Special!

I am a big fan of Valentine's Day. Yes, I know it is marked as the "Hallmark Holiday," and was created to make the retail industry more money (which is really not true if you read up on the origins of V-Day.) But, I don't care! Ben and I don't go spend tons of money or anything, but it makes me feel good that there is a day devoted to all things Love. Since Valentines Day falls on a Monday this year & I won't be home for lunch, I decided to make the Boys a special lunch today. And here it is....

Scrambled Eggs and Toast (& in case my mom is reading, I did add some fruit to the plate, but I thought the picture would be cuter without it ;-). I know it may seem a bit silly to us, but Braden decided it was 'Awesome' & Ryder thought it was 'Yummy'! So, that is a success in my book. Now, if I can figure out what to do for Ben????

Less than thrilled?

Over dinner last night I told Ben about 'our' new blogging adventure. Apparently he did not catch onto my excitement, because he seemed less than thrilled! When I questioned him on his reluctance, in true man fashion, he said "Because." When I finally dragged out the answer, it turned out he had 2 very valid reasons.

First of all, I probably complain between 1 & 100 times a day of how many things I have to do. So, here is just another item on the plate. I promised that it would only take about 10 minutes a day & I enjoy it!

Secondly & more concerning to him are those of you who have connections to Nellie & may go somewhere else to buy if you find out she is no longer running the business. PLEASE DON'T! I promise we are a wonderful family too! If you are wondering, I ask Nellie whenever I have questions or need help. She & her family started another venture, but she still has ties to her site & is helping me continue it's success.

So it took me more like 15 minutes, but in my defense, I had to...start Finding Nemo, wipe Carson's nose 4 times, filter questions from Braden about his birthday presents, etc, etc, etc. =)

A brand new adventure!

Well, we finally did it! Ben and I have been discussing a home based business since Braden (almost 4 already) was born. I have always been one of those people who wanted to stay home with my kids, and it seemed a great idea! Then he was born. Who in the world has time for a business with an infant in the house? Fast forward 19 months to baby #2, Ryder joined our family. Ben still thought a home business sounded good - me, not so much! Fast forward another 14 months - Surprise! Carson is here. Now, with 3 baby boys at home, I certainly can't manage a home based business. But...I guess the allure of being the one to raise my kids (along with my wonderful parents & in-laws) was to much. Ben talked me into it & now we have "3 Baby Boys & a Business". We purchased Nell's Natural Baby in October of 2010 & moved it home in December. We are really starting to make it our own! I will be blogging about our adventure (hopefully I can talk Ben into doing some of the blogs on a weekly 'Dad's Day!'). So, get ready to laugh, cry & buy with us!
